House of The Dragon’s Emma D’Arcy nominated for ‘Breakthrough Performance’ by MTV Awards
Emma D’Arcy has become a familiar name amongst Game of Thrones fans, critics, and the awards circuit ever since they delivered a brilliant performance as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon. The actor joined the show mid-season under a lot of pressure to live up to the portrayal of Rhaenyra by the young actress Milly Alcock, who had already garnered praises for her take on the soon-to-be heir of the Iron Throne. They definitely lived up to the hype, exceeding everyone’s expectations, and clutched multiple awards and nominations for their amazing talent.

D’Arcy has been nominated for ‘Breakthrough Performance’ by MTV Awards for their role as Rhaenyra Targaryen in the HBO hit House of The Dragon. The Game of Thrones prequel garnered rave reviews and D’Arcy’s performance as Rhaenyra even got her an Emmy nomination.
