House of the Dragon’s Emily Carey (Alicent) to star in upcoming thriller ‘Walk With Me’
Thus far, the prequel House of the Dragon to Game of Thrones has succeeded in captivating viewers. Many of the fascinating characters are from George R. R. Martin‘s Fire and Blood, and the author himself describes their backstories as “a shade of grey.” Additionally, Milly Alcock and Emily Carey, the two actors who portrayed the younger incarnations of the two major characters, Rahenyra and Alicent, respectively, did an outstanding job of bringing the two characters to life. Carey will now be seen in an upcoming thriller film ‘Walk With Me’.
Emily Carey to play the lead in ‘Walk With Me’
HanWay Films is releasing the psychological thriller Walk With Me ahead of the AFM, starring Emily Carey, Claes Bang (The Square), and Suki Waterhouse (Seance). Carey will portray a young lady tormented by a terrifying creature from a Celtic legend in the film, which has Claudia Bluemhuber of Silver Reel (The Wife) as the main producer. The director is River City’s Jonny Blair.
What is ‘Walk With Me’ about?
The official synopsis of the film reads, “Teenager Ellie (Carey) struggles to connect with her emotionally distant father Simon (Bang) who has raised her alone since her mother died in childbirth. When he announces their move to a remote rural cottage, to live with his new younger girlfriend Fiona (Waterhouse), Ellie is filled with anxiety.
Almost as soon as they arrive, Ellie sees a version of her father that she doesn’t recognize – he’s playful and loving in his interactions with Fiona and it devastates her, reinforcing everything she fears about herself.”
When will ‘Walk With Me’ be released?
The project intends to film in Europe in early 2024 and is being organized as a European co-production with a European cast. More details about the film’s release will be released as the filming progresses.
