House of The Dragon secure 3 wins at BAFTA TV Craft Awards

Game of Thrones is the most awarded show in television history. The show set a record for winning the highest number of Primetime Emmy Awards for a series in a single year in 2015, winning 12 out of 24 nominations. After winning its maiden Golden Globe, the prequel House of The Dragon has managed to secure three wins at this year’s BAFTA TV Craft awards, which honors the hard work of the crew behind the scenes.
In which categories did House of The Dragon win?
House of the Dragon managed to win in all the three categories it was nominated for:
- Make-Up and Hair Design (Amanda Knight, Barrie Gower and Rosalia Culora)
- Sound: Fiction (Alastair Sirkett, Doug Cooper, Martin Seeley, Paula Fairfield, Tim Hands, Adele Fletcher)
- Special, Visual and Graphic Effects (Angus Bickerton, Nikeah Forde, Asa Shoul, Mike Dawson, MPC, Pixomodo).
The BAFTA Television Awards will take place on May 14.
House of The Dragon might earn 4 nominations at Emmy 2023
According to THR’s awards expert Scott Feinberg’s predictions, House of The Dragon will earn nominations in the following four categories:
• Best Drama Series
• Best Actor – Paddy Considine
• Best Actress – Emma D’Arcy
• Best Supporting Actor – Matt Smith
Apart from these, Olivia Cooke, Fabien Frankel, & Steve Toussaint have also been predicted as major contenders at this year’s Emmy Awards.
