Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in the works at HBO. So far, fans have showered the fantasy epic with love, just like its predecessor, dishing out characters, storylines, sceneries, and everything else that makes it so engaging. The production just began quite recently and the casting process is near complete. We now have a first look at the Harrenhal set currently being used for filming at Leavesden Studios.

The mighty Harrenhal at Leavesden Studios

The mighty castle of Harren the Black debuted in the first episode of House of The Dragon itself, when Viserys was voted as the King. We will return to the cursed castle for a number of important scenes involving Alys Rivers, Aemond Targaryen’s muse and mistress, reportedly being played by Emily Beecham.

The scenes are being filmed right now as we speak, as reported by both Redanian Intelligence and House the Dragons.

HBO also filmed scenes with “flame effects, wind & rain machines, and bangs”

As reported by the Twitter account House the Dragons, Watford residents in the vicinity of Leavesden Studios were sent a notice about the filming process. In the letter, Leavesden Studios notified that on April 20th and 21st there will be special effects tests in the area close to the House of The Dragon sets.

House of The Dragon Season 2 will have some new faces

In an exclusive interview with Sky Atlantic, Condal said, “House of the Dragon has returned. We are thrilled to be shooting again with members of our original family as well as new talents on both sides of the camera. All your favourite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching with their armies, and riding their dragons into battle. We can’t wait to share what we have in store.”
