Avid readers of George R. R. Martin’s works are looking forward to seeing some of their favorite characters from the novel Fire and Blood, as the show is based on an infamous incident from its storyline. The excitement is through the roof, and due to all the positive reactions, House of The Dragon has been officially renewed for season 2.

More good news awaits Game of Thrones fans. According to a report by local Spanish newspaper Hoy, the old town of Cáceres will depict King’s Landing yet again in the second season of House of the Dragon.  HBO will return to Cáceres next spring, from March to June and the filming is expected to take place around April and May.

In Game of Thrones, Cáceres was also Oldtown, which we could see next season. The news comes just a few days after the announcement of the largest European Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire event, which will indeed take place in Cáceres, Spain: “Cáceres City of Dragons.” Things are turning up Westerosi, folks!
