With one of the greatest TV program openings ever, Game of Thrones set a high standard for prequel House of the Dragon. Ramin Djawadi is a well-known composer whose scores are used for both title themes. Additionally, they both display the events that have occurred historically in the program thus far. Season 2 has just arrived with a fresh intro scene.

House of the Dragon intro continues the Targaryen saga

Just like Season 1, House of the Dragon Season 2 continues the story of the Targaryen Bloodline, but instead of a model, it is now a tapestry. The bloodstream follows where it left off, a deceased Aemma and Viserys. Next, we see the death of Lucerys being registered in the flow, with his symbol being drenched in blood.

Ryan Condal explains the change in House of the Dragon credits

Ryan Condal elucidated the significance of the Dance of the Dragons inside the Westeros realm. He also said how viewers of Game of Thrones are accustomed to seeing the opening titles change with each new season. Condal said:

“The family is kind of set at [this] point “Game of Thrones” loves an evolving title sequence, and we just didn’t really know where to go with it from there. So the idea was, if the first season was about ancestry and bloodlines, season two is now about [being part of] this living history, this period that becomes very seismic, both in this time and then for all the decades to come.

This is such a famous time in history that even characters in the A Song of Ice and Fire books are thinking back to the Dance of the Dragons, which is the most brutal and bloody civil war fought in this time.”
