House of The Dragon concept artist reveals original designs for the Targaryen Kings statues in the throne room

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in the works at HBO. So far, fans have showered the fantasy epic with love, just like its predecessor, dishing out characters, storylines, sceneries, and everything else that makes it so engaging. The production has been running smoothly so far, despite the nationwide writers’ strike in the U.S.

House of The Dragon throne room concept art reveals 4 Targaryen Kings

House of The Dragon concept artist Qingling Zhang recently revealed the concept art of the throne room pillars, which are etched into the shape of former Targaryen Kings (before Viserys). They include Aegon the Conqueror, Aenys I Targaryen, Maegor the Cruel, and Jaehaerys I Targaryen.

Where is House of The Dragon Season 2 being filmed?

Currently, new sets for Season 2 of House of The Dragon are being erected at Leavesden Studios, UK. The production will later move on to Spain to film a few key episodes. Some of the pictures from the Leavesden location were leaked by House the Dragons Twitter profile. Have a look at them right here:

When will House of The Dragon return?

The filming of House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in pre-production, with the casting currently in progress. HBO chief Casey Bloys has confirmed in an indirect way that House of The Dragon won’t be coming back before the summer of 2024.
