House of the Dragon Season Finale leaked ahead of release (Update: HBO responds)

It looks like HBO can not catch a break from House of the Dragon leaks. Episodes 1 and 2 of the Game of Thrones prequel spinoff were also leaked. Episodes three to nine were safe from being fully leaked. But here we are with another leak, and of the season finale, no less.

House of the Dragon episode 10 is titled “The Black Queen.” Where episode 9 showed us how the Greens dealt with King Viserys’ death, episode 10 will feature the Blacks primarily. As per the preview, Princess Rhaenys will deliver the message of Viserys’ death to his daughter and heir to Rhaenyra. Rhaenys warns Rhaenyra that the Greens will be coming for her and her family. It will feature many more royal houses that were previously unknown to us as they choose sides in the coming war. Episode 10 is set to feature the first fight between dragons in the Game of Thrones franchise.

Update: HBO issued the following statement to us via email:

We are aware that the tenth episode of House of the Dragon has been posted on illegal torrent sites. It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA region. HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet. We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K.
