Emilia Clarke in Marvel's Secret Invasion

Thanks to the numerous TV and film adaptations over the last few decades, comic books now have a tremendous fandom. The superhero genre is basically dominating the entertainment business right now, with MCU and DCEU being good examples. Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones recently made her debut in Marvel’s Secret Invasion series. However, her series had a pretty controversial start.

Why did Secret Invasion use A.I. for the opening theme?

Secret Invasion aired its pilot episode yesterday June 21, 2023, on Disney Plus. However, fans were less than amused to see bland A.I.-created opening credits. The show’s director and executive producer Ali Selim explained to Polygon, “When we reached out to the AI vendors, that was part of it — it just came right out of the shape-shifting, Skrull world identity, you know? Who did this? Who is this?”

Fans aren’t happy with Secret Invasion’s intro

When the viewers logged into Disney Plus to watch the first episode of Secret Invasion, they weren’t exactly thrilled by the weird-looking display. A lot of them expressed their concerns over social media:

Imagine if the Game of Thrones intro was made by AI

The amount of artistic effort that goes into making a good intro is tremendous. It has to be well thought out and share the same depth as the entirety of the series, something which can’t be replicated by an A.I. Game of Thrones has one of the best-beloved opening themes ever, and devoted fans never skip it for a reason. What would have happened if it was created using an A.I.? Well below is a pretty close depiction of that:
