HBO Max releases new image from Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon
Ever since its announcement back in 2019, Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has been a major source of excitement for fantasy fans all over the world. According to George R. R. Martin himself, the first season of the show is looking very good, and he has watched a number of episodes. We have already seen a lot of leaks over the past few months, and HBO has already scheduled the release date, that is, August 21. As the premiere date slowly moves closer, fans are awaiting the first full trailer. And HBO Max just added to the hype with a new picture posted recently.
The official HBO Max Twitter account posted a previously unseen picture from House of The Dragon, while also tagging House of The Dragon’s official Twitter page with the tweet: “The reign of House Targaryen begins…”
with fire and blood. https://t.co/NbRjQ4BLRb pic.twitter.com/FTuDyMYL3E

The picture appears to be from the Dragonstone set, with an adult Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) leaning over the familiar table lost deep in her thoughts. Aside from her, there are four more figures to the right walking away. We can make an intelligent guess from their wigs and costume that one of them is Rhaenys Velaryon, and the dark-haired individuals can be Rhaenyra’s children. We can also see Daemon Targaryen’s sword Dark Sister at the lower right end of the shot.
