George R.R. Martin hilariously reassures fans he’s still writing The Winds of Winter

A Song of Ice and Fire fans have been eagerly awaiting George R. R. Martin‘s follow-up book, The Winds of Winter. More than a decade has passed since the last book in the Game of Thrones series was released in 2011. Despite his occasional updates, many of his followers are growing impatient with him because it is taking him too long to finish. The Game of Thrones book continues to be Martin’s main priority, and he recently reaffirmed it.

Though Martin has been diligent (according to him) at his work, the time he is taking to finish one novel is enraging a lot of fans. However, Martin has had enough of fans asking him about the release of the rest of the novels in the series, and he recently posted a meme on his official X account making fun of such queries.

Fans are not happy with George R.R. Martin’s attitude towards delay

Though there were some supportive comments on the post, a lot of fans made fun of the writer for defending the delay of Winds of Winter. Some of the reactions read:
