Game of Thrones showrunners discuss returning for Kit Harington’s Snow spinoff
Kit Harington‘s Jon Snow sequel is perhaps one of the most anticipated Game of Thrones spnioffs currently stuck in development. Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, though disgraced in the eyes of a lot of fans for the Season 8 mishap, are still willing to come back in future. And they’d like to continue their story in the SNOW spinoff.
Game of Thrones showrunners are willing to return for SNOW
Though Benioff and Weiss were accused of focusing on other projects more than Season 8, they’re still excellent showrunners.
When asked if they’d like to return to Kit Harington’s Jon Snow sequel in the future, they first hesitated. Benioff told THR, “I don’t know …”
However, Weiss exclaimed, “It would be so great; nothing would make us happier than to work with our people from that show. But there are a lot of other ways to make that happen that are fresh and exciting for everyone involved. Also, unless [Kit Harington] has been doing a lot of working out, that’s a really heavy cloak for a guy in his 40s to carry around — it’s like 60 pounds.”
Game of Thrones showrunners want an Old SNOW?
Kit Harington is a dad to two children and is well over 40, hence it is unclear how long he intends to play Jon Snow, if it is approved. Game of Thrones showrunners, however, have no problems working with an older Jon Snow. Weiss said,
“Maybe when we’re 80 and Kit’s approaching retirement, he can throw that cloak on again with real gray in his beard.”
Benioff added, “One last ride…”
