Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2022. With the series currently in post-production, we can now expect the official full trailer to drop anytime soon, especially since the premiere date is right around the corner. House of The Dragon will be here in August, and HBO recently released a second teaser trailer featuring the dragons for the first time. The excitement is through the roof, the reactions have been largely positive, and the teaser looks really, really good.

That being said, while the fans are eagerly waiting for season 1 to finally be here, HBO is busy making plans for season 2 already. According to a recent report by the Redanian Intelligence, one of their sources has confirmed “that writing for House of the Dragon Season 2 has indeed begun, which suggests HBO has already quietly renewed the new series, albeit without an announcement at this time.”

We already know HBO chief Casey Bloys was quite confident about the success of House of The Dragon from the beginning. He had hinted at a “strong possibility” of season 2, and it is very likely that the scripts for season 2 of House of The Dragon are being written as we speak.

The official news of the renewal should arrive either close to the Season 1 premiere or the finale. Do you think Season 1 of House of The Dragon will be successful enough to propel the series through a second season? Talk to us in the comments below!
