Game of Thrones alum Pedro Pascal to host Saturday Night Live sketch in February

Some actors are known to be certified markers for the success of a show. They know how to make any job fun. Their presence simply lights up the mood and you feel like the movie, show, or interview just keeps going on. Pedro Pascal is an example of such an actor, who charmed the viewers with his character Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, and has starred in other successful and famous franchises such as DC and Star Wars. Pascal is now preparing to host a Saturday Night Live show, which might pit two of his on-screen “kids” against each other.
NBC recently announced that Pascal will be hosting the Saturday Night Live on February 4, with musical guest Coldplay. Pascal will become the third Game of Thrones veteran to host Saturday Night Live, following Jason Momoa who did it in 2018, and Kit Harington who hosted the show in 2019, right before the season 8 premiere.

Pascal is currently getting rounds of applause for his portrayal of Joel in HBO’s The Last of Us, also starring Game of Thrones alum Bella Ramsey. In both The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, he plays a desensitized father figure, and both of his on-screen kids slowly grow on him. It will be interesting how they portray Pascal’s characters in the sketch.
