Innovative minds can be found in the most unexpected of places. The motivation to build something different often arises from something that one loves dearly. One Elden Ring player who is also a big fan of Game of Thrones managed to recreate one of his favourite characters inside the video game, complete with his famed flaming sword.

A Redditor by the name MatthewFireEye customized his Elden Ring character to look like Beric Dondarrion from the highly popular series Game of Thrones, along with his flaming sword that actually works in the game. Utilizing the Vagabond class starter kit, which can also be bought from merchants in the game, and using the fire grease and the flame strike Ash of War, his version of Beric Dondarrion is truly a sight to behold.

Lord Beric Dondarrion was the Lord of Blackhaven and the head of House Dondarrion. Initially assigned by Ned Stark to apprehend Ser Gregor Clegane, he and his men formed a guerrilla resistance group known as the Brotherhood Without Banners, with Dondarrion as their leader. In the war efforts against the Lannisters, Beric was killed multiple times, and each time was brought back to life by Thoros of Myr.

MatthewFireEye’s Dondarrion doesn’t look too much different from the series, donning an eye patch and very similar facial features to the character. George R. R. Martin will be really impressed to see a familiar character in Elden Ring, whose lore he helped to create for years.
