Ed Sheeran says his Game of Thrones character won't survive long
Game of Thrones Season 7 had its share of celebrity cameos, with Ed Sheeran showing up as a Lannister soldier, and a nice, musical one at that. He shared a scene with Maisie Williams, and many fans seemed to think that it was an unnecessary appearance, while many others loved it.
Ever since the appearance, we have seen a lot of dead Lannister soldiers, and wondered if Ed’s character was among them. In a new interview with MTV, Ed talked about his character, and his fate. Read on!
So how did he get onto the show? Ed explained :
“It was Maisie [Williams], who plays Arya [Stark]. She’s come to gigs for years. They basically put me in a scene with her to be like ‘Hey, thanks for doing the show for so many years. Ed’s gonna be in it.’ I think, anyway. That’s what I was told.”
He then talked about whether his character survived the season, Ed said :
“We were all quite young, those soldiers. I doubt I’m going to survive for that long, to be honest, when there are dragons in the world.
No one wants to see me come back. I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I’ve done the cameo. I’m cool with it, though. I enjoyed it.”
Well, let’s hope he’s not saying that only because he read the mean comments fans posted about his cameo. What do you think? Is Ed Sheeran’s character still alive, and if so, would you like another glimpse of him? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
