A desolated man who has lost everything, an orphaned child who needs to be delivered to a location, and the two end up forming an unbreakable bond – Pedro Pascal has been ruling 2023 with this exact same storyline. Pascal has managed to keep his very similar characters quite unique, with Din Djarin now being a fan-favorite Star Wars character. However, ever since Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze has been getting more limelight than the original protagonists, rumors have begun to arise regarding Pascal’s replacement and the subsequent end of the series.

Din Djarin and Grogu’s arc will end with The Mandalorian movie

The third season of The Mandalorian recently came to a sweet end, with everyone’s favorite father and son duo settling down on the planet Nevarro. During the Star Wars Celebrations 2023, it was announced that Din and Grogu’s arc is coming to an end. However, instead of wrapping it up on the Disney+ series, it will be through a Mandalorian film that will be directed by Dave FIloni, George Lucas’ apprentice.

What does Jon Favreau have to say about the end of The Mandalorian?

Favreau said this on EW’s Dagobah Dispatch podcast, “I don’t know what would make me not enjoy doing it, especially as long as the audience is connecting with these characters. This feels like a really enjoyable moment. And I love this format of telling one chapter at a time and keeping the audience guessing, but also fulfilling certain expectations.”

However, there were also rumors about Favreau quitting the series before Season 3 aired, apparently due to creative differences and meddling by Lucasfilm executives.
