The original Full Monty film came about 25 years ago, in 1997, and was the top-grossing movie in the UK until the release of Titanic. It is about a group of unemployed men who come together to set up a strip club, and in the process end up rediscovering themselves. The TV series is set 25 years in the future, with the cast now old and their children growing up and having to deal with their fathers’ old reputation.
