Wiki of Thrones: Hello Clare, can you please tell us if, in Daemon’s latest Harrenhal nightmare, he wasn’t aware that it was his mother… till Alyssa Targaryen called Daemon her favorite son?

Clare: Yes, he had the shocked realization when she said ‘My favorite son’.

This shocking revelation adds another perspective to Daemon’s nightmares, as it is noted in Fire & Blood, Alyssa died when Daemon was really young, and he does not even remember her face. Is it Alys Rivers’ doing?

Who is Alyssa Targaryen?

Alyssa Targaryen, the fifth child of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and Queen Alysanne Targaryen, featured in Season 2, Episode 5 of House of the Dragon during Daemon Targaryen’s dream sequence. She fell in love with Baelon, her brother, and married him in 75 AC, and gave birth to Viserys and Daemon. She died after her third childbirth when Daemon was only 3.
