One of the few characters who has been playing the longest game on Game of Thrones is the brilliant Lord Varys played by actor Conleth Hill, who brought such a distinct flair to the character that it’s hard to imagine someone else playing the role. Hill has always been proud of his wavy hair, and he was really depressed when he had to part ways with his locks while shooting for Game of Thrones.

However, now that the show has been over for quite some time, Hill is showing off his amazing hair with a brand new look, a far cry from his life-changing role, Lord Varys.

Fans could barely recognize Hill when he recently appeared on Lorraine on Thursday with luscious silver locks and a goatee beard. Hill, now 57, admitted that there were times when people failed to recognize him in public, which is a good thing for his private life.

He recalled that even on set, people would confuse him for security personnel, “Even in the midst of shooting, there was lots of ‘can we have that security man less close to the cast, please? Or a wine waiter. John Bradley, who played Samwell, and I are good mates still and go to Old Trafford, and that’s the only place I don’t mind being recognized but people would ask me to leave, so they could get a photo. But I don’t mind, it was kind of a blessing in a way.”
