The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey is currently making headlines with her new character in the show, Ellie. She won millions of hearts playing the young and brave Lyanna Mormont on the HBO fantasy epic, Game of Thrones, even though her role was short-lived. She accurately portrayed the proud and quirky young warrior as she stabbed a giant wight during her last battle at Winterfell. It seems her days of adventure are not over yet, she is doing an amazing job in yet another action-filled role in HBO’s new video game adaptation The Last of Us, and she’s grateful for it.

However, she had an inkling that her casting in the role might cause an uproar in the video game’s fan community, and took a while for her to come to terms with it. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Ramsey admitted, “It’s the first time I’ve ever had a negative reaction to something. There would be times I’d find it funny. Then I’d get to the end of a 10-minute scrolling session, put my phone down and realize: Maybe that was a bad idea.”

“It’s only recently that I’ve accepted I am Ellie, and I can do it, and I am a good actor,” she confessed her doubts. “But this will last for a few weeks and then I’ll think I’m terrible again. That’s just the process.”
