Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger) to play a British crime boss in Action Comedy ‘London Calling’
There were several really talented artists among the Game of Thrones cast and crew. Before making his debut on Game of Thrones, seasoned actor Aidan Gillen enjoyed considerable recognition.
Because Gillen gave Petyr Baelish such appeal and mystery, the audience was forced to feel both love and detest for the character. Gillen will now be seen in an upcoming action comedy that will see him take up the role of crimelord.
What is London Calling about?
Directed by Allan Ungar, London Calling tells the story of a mediocre hitman named Tommy Ward who unintentionally murders a relative of the biggest criminal boss in London, played by Aidan Gillen. He flees and ends up in Los Angeles, distant from his son who lives in London. Tommy strikes a bargain with his new employer to get back.
In return for being allowed to travel safely, he promises to educate his socially awkward teenage son Julian on how to be a man. However, Tommy’s instructive moments involve driving Julian to work, where he recently executed a well-known assassin on contract.
Who is in the cast of London Calling?
Transformers actor Josh Duhamel will star as Tommy, along with Game of Thrones alum Gillen as the crimelord. They are joined by Jeremy Ray Taylor and Rick Hoffman, who play Tommy’s new protege and his father, respectively. Omer Levin Menekse and Quinn Wolfe co-wrote the script for London Calling. Menekse is the author of the 2020 Oscar-nominated short Please Hold.
What is the release date for London Calling?
Production of London Calling is currently underway in South Africa. There is no news of the release date yet, but will be revealed as the filming gets closer to completion.
