A Game of Thrones extra gave up law school to become a porn star!

Published

on

Game of Thrones is one of the most popular shows on the planet, and the effort that goes into picking the cast, right down to the extras, is tremendous. Being as vast as the cast is, there are bound to be a few actors which stand out, some way or the other. One example is Sibel Kekilli, who played the role of Shae on the show, actually used to work in adult films before. Now we have an actress who worked as an extra on Game of Thrones, and then decided to take up a career in porn. Read on!

We’re talking about Ella Hughes. She played a Volantene prostitute, “The Broken Man”, in Season 6 of Game of Thrones. She has leveled up to starring in pornographic movies, and has gathered quite a fan following. She even put her legal career on hold for the same. She had no plans to be a porn star, but a lawyer instead, as she tells BBC :

“It wasn’t my original intention to get into porn, my original intention was to do a law degree. I’m halfway through that, I have postponed that for now. I did a stint doing lads’ mags, then it kind of progressed from one into the other… My love for my job conquers all critics. For me I almost kind of don’t care, because my love for my job kind of outweighs them, it conquers all.”

Ella now makes a living starring in porn films, selling lingerie, and doing webcam shows for her fans. She says she used to have self esteem issues, but she says that working in adult films made her a lot more confident than she was :

“Before I got into porn I was a very shy girl, I didn’t even talk to someone on the phone. I hated the sound of my own voice and never thought I was pretty enough. I struggled a lot with weight issues. I never thought in a million years I would be capable of doing something like this.”

Like anybody who has ever done anything, she gets trolled by random people on the internet, as well, but she says it doesn’t get to her as much :

“For me I almost kind of don’t care, because my love for my job kind of outweighs them, it conquers all. At the end of the day I am a businesswoman, I am my own company and if that’s not power to women then what is?

George R.R. Martin is working on 317 new ideas for Game of Thrones spinoffs with HBO, and Winds of Winter

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is a pretty busy man, contrary to what most of the A Song of Ice And Fire fans believe. It has been a decade since the last book in the series came out, and we can understand why a lot of fans are fuming at the delay despite him reassuring them again and again that yes, he is still working on the next book ‘Winds of Winter‘. He has yet once again promised that he is still writing the novel, but along with that, we have some other news for you.

There’s another reason why Martin is so busy nowadays. Apart from working on the Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon, his Wild Cards series, and The Winds of Winter (as he says), he has just revealed that he is working with HBO execs on 317 ideas to develop new Game of Thrones’ successors. Here’s what he wrote on his blog Not A Blog:

George-R.-R.-Martin-shares-a-poem-with-fans-on-his-73rd-birthday-

“I almost titled this post “I’ve been working on the railroad,” but my readers would have taken that the wrong way… and, anyway, it isn’t true. I am one of the owners. Mostly what I have been doing is throwing out ideas and writing checks. Sky’s employees, an energetic and enthusiastic crew, have been doing the work, all those things I mentioned up above and lots more besides. I have not driven a single spike, laid a single rail, reupholstered a seat, crawled under a coach to check the wheels, and I won’t be selling tickets or driving the trains either… though I do reserve the right to blow the whistle now and again. Nor have I been in the kitchen with Dinah. I have working, yes, yes… but not on the railroad.”

“I have been writing WINDS OF WINTER, editing three new Wild Cards books, sitting down with some amazing screenwriters and showrunners to create three hundred and seventeen new GAME OF THRONES successor shows for HBO and HBO Max, and serving as executive producer on various other television and film projects in various stages of development, including DARK WINDS for AMC, JOKERTOWN for Peacock, ROADMARKS and WHO FEARS DEATH for HBO. Oh, and I was the executive producer on our (recently wrapped) short film of Howard Waldrop’s NIGHT OF THE COOTERS. So I have been working. Maybe too bloody hard, but that’s another tale for another blog post… though these days even finding the time to blog is hard”

‘Pride and Prejudice’ star Jennifer Ehle was originally up for the role of Catelyn Stark on Game of Thrones

When Game of Thrones first started filming, it was a jumbling mess. The original pilot was so bad, it had to be refilmed. Back then, no one would have guessed it would turn out to be the Emmy-winning juggernaut we all know today. The record viewership, budget, and the fame that followed later turned the show into a pop culture icon. The casting of the show went through a number of changes, and a number of actors who had a chance to be on the highly acclaimed series but refused now regret not going through with it. Pride and Prejudice fame Jennifer Ehle is up on that list, but according to her she doesn’t regret missing out on the Game of Thrones role she was offered.

Talking to the Daily Beast, Ehle revealed she was originally up for the role of Lady Catelyn Stark, and had even filmed the pilot. She said, “Well, it was entirely personal. My daughter was seven months old when we did the pilot. It was too soon for me to be working, emotionally and bonding-wise, but I needed to do it and I was also passionate about the books. I loved the idea of telling that story. I finished the first book when I was in the hospital getting ready to have my daughter. My husband actually went out and got the second book for me. I handed the first book to the midwife and started the second one. When I went back for my six-week checkup with the midwife, she had started the second book.”

“I love Game of Thrones, but it was too soon, and I did The King’s Speech immediately after. Then did a play immediately after that. I found out that the series was then picked up at the end of working through six months when I really just wanted to hold my baby, even though I was aware of the incredible privilege of having done the three pieces of work that I got to do in a row. I think everything worked out beautifully, because clearly, the show is what it was meant to be.”

Game of Thrones official Facebook page declares Jon Snow to be 'The Prince That Was Promised'

Game of Thrones had a massive impact on the fantasy genre, playing into several myths and legends inside its universe. Blood was shed, kings were crowned and prophecies were made, all in the name of the one true king. However, not all of the prophecies came to pass, and fans have been scratching their heads for a long time trying to figure out what they meant (or if they even meant anything at all). HBO has finally decided to put to rest one of such intriguing mysteries about the show, that is, who really was ‘The Prince That Was Promised’.

Recently, the Game of Thrones Official Facebook page posted an image of Jon Snow, ascribing the designations he has held in the series. Lord Snow. 998th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. King in the North. The Bastard of Winterfell. And… Wait for it… “The Prince That Was Promised”.

Fans have been speculating for long who really was the Prince or Princess who was promised, and this post finally puts to rest all the conspiracy theories about who it was meant to be. It was prophesized in the show that the promised prince/princess would play an important role in the final war, and would be a messianic figure destined to save the world from the coming of the Others.

Do you think the declaration satisfies all the criteria of the prophecy? Talk to us in the comments below!

The production for Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is in full swing. We’re receiving updates about the filming currently going on in the Portuguese city of stone, Monsanto, via leaks that are reported every other day. Former Doctor Who Matt Smith is playing the role of Prince Daemon Targaryen on the show, one of the key players in the story of House of The Dragon. And his dragon, Caraxes, is going to be one of the meanest, biggest, and baddest beasts in the series.

Smith, in his recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, talked about various aspects of the Game of Thrones prequel, including the release date of the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel. As expected, he was tight-lipped and did not dive much into the details, but he did leave a hint for the fans who are waiting impatiently for the series to finally be here. Smith revealed in the podcast:

“We’ve been doing it since March, and I finish in January. It’s tough, it’s a long shoot.”

What does this mean for House of The Dragon? Matt Smith is playing one of the most important characters in the series. If you’ve been following the leaks for the past few months, you will know there’s one person who has been spotted at almost all the filming locations, and that is Matt Smith. We also know that the prequel is going to be a multi-seasoned show, and if we go by the source material Smith’s Daemon Targaryen isn’t supposed to die this early. So we can make an intelligent guess the filming for the first season won’t go on for long after he finishes in January.

When do you think House of The Dragon will arrive? Will it be by mid-2022 or towards the end? Tell us in the comments below!

Filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving very swiftly, as evident from the frequent leaks we’re witnessing with every passing day. Though HBO has been mum about revealing any more info about the show, these periodic leaks are causing waves of excitement amongst the fans, as they’re left wondering and speculating who’s who in the new set pictures. Last month the show was filming at a number of sites in Spain, and it seems they have finally completed filming in the country.

The Game of Thrones prequel filmed a number of important scenes at various sites in Spain, the prominent ones being Trujillo and Caceres. The production at Caceres was halted till November 3 as one of the important crew members was down with covid, and it looks like the team has managed to successfully wrap up filming after the minor delay.

Here are some snaps of the final day shoot in Caceres, tweeted by Portal House of the Dragon Brasil and House The Dragons fanpages:

Parece que as filmagens de #HouseoftheDragon em Cáceres chegaram ao fim! Algumas das últimas imagens mostram um Manto Dourado, parte do cenário e FOGO usado durante as gravações de ontem.

One of the last scenes to be shot at the site appears to be some kind of fire in King’s Landing. Hopefully, we’ll get more information about it, whether it is the result of an insurgency or dragonfyre.
