New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard reveals his Game of Thrones role in an interview
Game of Thrones Season 6 was a hit, and it has been a long time since it aired. Season 7 will be airing much later that the usual premiere time, three months from now. However, in the meantime, we have been getting a lot of cast member interviews, and news about new cast members and cameos we will be seeing in the next season. We had recently reported about how the New York Mets PitcherNoah Syndergaard will be making a cameo appearance in Game of Thrones Season 7. He recently talked some juicy bits about Game of Thrones, and the character he plays, in an interview.
Noah Syndergaard was recently interviewed bySports Illustrated, where he talked about a lot of things, like the Mets’ season, his nickname, ‘Thor’, and of course, Game of Thrones. Syndergaard is known to be a massive fan of the show, and he even has gloves that are named after characters from the show, like Tyrion and Jon Snow. Not only that, the Game of Thrones theme music plays when he steps up to pitch. Talking about the show, Noah said :
“I think it’s the greatest TV show of all time, so just to be able to say I was in Game of Thrones is an unbelievable feeling.”
He said it was a dream come true for him. He revealed that he was on set in Spain for “one long day,” and that it was his mom that hooked him on to Game of Thrones. He also revealed details about his character, when asked if his character had a name, saying :
“I have a name, I do play a Lannister General, but that’s about all I can tell you.”
He also said that he either died, or killed somebody, or “maybe both”. When asked what other characters he shared the screen with, he said that he couldn’t reveal that information, even though he really wanted to. Check out the clip from Sports Illustrated, below :
