Nikolaj Coster-Waldau predicts a lot of death in Game of Thrones Season 7 and 8
Game of Thrones has been our favorite TV show for over six years now, and the realization that it’s in the final two years is hitting us hard. Season 7 will premiere on July 16th, that is only two weeks from now, and while we count down to it second by second, interviews from the cast and crew are helping a lot. While many important characters have died on the show over the years, there have some that have stuck through, and one of them is Jaime Lannister. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime on the show, recently talked about how he sees the show going forward in the last two seasons, and he said that there will be a lot of death! Read on!
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau recently talked withGQabout Game of Thrones, and what we might get to see in Season 7, and a his hilarious take on how Jaime Lannister might behave on a date. Watch the clip, below :
This hilarious video has some really funny bits. Nikolaj says that Jaime “likes to be just naked” when he’s alone. How can a woman get Jaime’s attention? “You would have to be his sister,” says Nikolaj. Apparently the first thing Jaime does in the morning, is that “He pets and polishes his stump.” Chuckleworthy!
Now, speaking of Game of Thrones Season 7 and 8, Nikolaj let us in on a little secret (not!). He said that the show will “end in a lot of death, I’m pretty sure of that.”
He went on to say :
“I’ve been expecting the chop every season. I’m a bit surprised every time I get to the last page and he’s still alive.”
Understandable. Game of Thrones is notorious for axing off major characters without flinching. Jaime’s role in the series has been pretty prominent from the beginning, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was just killed off from the show. His hand certainly had a surprising exit.
Nikolaj also talked about how he would like to see his character go, and it is something he has suggested before. His response was short :
“Jaime Barbecue.”
We’ll see! What do you think? Will Jaime get barbecued this season? Or will he make it to the end, and be of some importance to the end of the show? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
