“I like the finale”: Peter Dinklage stands firm in his support for the Game of Thrones finale
Do you agree with Peter Dinklage?
Season 8 of Game of Thrones wasn’t to everyone’s liking. The finale divided the fan base; some were satisfied with the ending, while others clamored for another season. This division has been partly attributed to the absence of subsequent novels by George R. R. Martin. Additionally, the showrunners’ keen interest in developing a Star Wars trilogy with Disney’s Lucasfilm has been mentioned as a contributing factor. However, it seems like Peter Dinklage was satisfied with the end result.
Peter Dinklage is proud of Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which is why, despite eight long and exhausting seasons, most of the cast members remember the series quite fondly. Peter Dinklage, who played Tyrion Lannister, is proud of his time on the show as well. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he said:
“I happen to be insanely proud of that show. I love that character. And I’m still good friends with and I love the creators.
Peter Dinklage loves the Game of Thrones finale
Despite the immense backlash to the final season of Game of Thrones, Dinklage has always been in support of the creators and the storyline. He added in the same interview:
“I like the finale! You don’t have to agree with me. How about if I said like, ‘Yeah, I agree. I hated the finale. The whole last season was horrible’? I mean, that would sit much worse than if I said I loved it, which I did. I can’t speak for anybody else’s opinion, and that’s what makes what we do fun, because everybody does have a difference of opinion and everybody gets to write about it and chat about it and drink over it and argue about it. It’s great. I mean, I think it means you’re doing something right.”
