Rhaena discovers Sheepstealer’s existence in House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6
Rhaena is no more dragonless!
Season 2 of House of the Dragon delves deeply into the annals of Targaryen history, shedding light on the enigmatic silver-haired lineage. The dynasty that reigned over Westeros for generations possessed the blood of dragons, endowing them with the ability to be formidable dragon riders. However, not all Targaryens bond with dragons at birth. Some take a long time, as in the case of Rhaena.

Rhaena seeks out Sheepstealer in House of the Dragon
The most recent episode of House of the Dragon had plenty of surprises. One of the most recent ones being a dragon roaming around Vale. Rhaena comes to know of a dragon that is said to be haunting the sheep herders of Vale, as explained to her by the Lady of Vale, Jane Arryn. The young Princess seeks out the infamous dragon in a quest to claim it for herself.
Who was the original rider of Sheepstealer?
Unlike the show, Sheepstealer was claimed by a Dragonseed named Nettles in Fire & Blood. The show decided to go astray from the lore in George R. R. Martin’s book and merged Rhaena and Nettles’ storylines. In the book, Rhaena is largely dragonless during the Dance of the Dragon, her dragon egg hatches towards the end into a beautiful pink dragon called Morning.
