Season 2 of House of the Dragon is escalating, with the Targaryens at the epicenter of the strife. The focus will primarily be on the descendants of the quarreling Targaryen progenitors. Additionally, the Targaryens’ illegitimate offspring, known as the Dragonseeds, are poised to play a crucial role. And along with them, we get more dragons.

House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6 circles around Dragonseeds

In the latest episode of House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra and Jacaerys discuss the need to find new riders for Dragonstone’s unclaimed dragons. These individuals, known as Dragonseeds in ‘Fire & Blood’, possess Valyrian blood. Episode 6 depicts Rhaenyra’s unsuccessful attempt to have Ser Steffon Darklyn ride Seasmoke, ending in fiery failure.

The series has introduced us to Hugh Hammer and Ulf White, along with their dragons Vermithor (seen in Season 1) and Silverwing (featured in a recent stamp collection). Additionally, Addam of Hull, a Velaryon bastard, has been shown claiming Seasmoke. Regrettably, the show has deviated from one aspect of the Dragonseed storyline, replacing Nettles with Rhaena as the rider of Sheepstealer.
