King Aegon II visits the Cock Inn in House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 3

While the prequel, House of the Dragon, revisited many of the original filming locations from Game of Thrones, it also introduced new sets. Among these was the enigmatic ‘Cock Inn’ in Cáceres, linked to King Aegon II. This mysterious tavern recently made an appearance in the latest episode of House of the Dragon.

King Aegon II goes around the the Cock’s Inn

After the death of his beloved son Jaehaerys, King Aegon II Targaryen drowns himself in two things: booze and revenge. He takes some of his confidants with him to the Cock’s Inn, a place frequented by him and has been spotted a couple of times in leaks and promos. We also see Dyana, who was se*ually assaulted by Aegon II in Season 1.

Aegon II also runs into Aemond, who is around visiting his favorite prostitute, who is supposed to be the only woman he’s ever slept with. Aegon II kicks Aemond out so his knights can have their way with her, and Aemond leaves in a fit of composed rage.

House of the Dragon cast speaks out on whether Aegon should be the King

An earlier promo opens with Emma D’Arcy, who once more articulately discusses why Aegon might be a suitable king. However, Bethany Antonia immediately dismisses the idea, emphasizing that she cannot say anything positive about him. The video concludes with Harry Collett, who, taking a cue from his on-screen mother, attempts to justify why the rider of Sunfyre could be a viable candidate for the Iron Throne.
