“What a legend”: Matt Smith and Fabien Frankel react to Milly Alcock’s casting as Supergirl
The ensemble cast in House of the Dragon is excellent. The creator of Game of Thrones, George R. R. Martin, is similarly amazed by them. After becoming the viewers’ favorite as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Milly Alcock has joined a soon-to-be-popular franchise. Alcock is the chosen one to portray Supergirl in James Gunn’s DCU. Even her House of the Dragon co-stars are enamored by her talent.
Matt Smith and Fabien Frankel praise Milly Alcock’s casting
Milly Alcock’s casting as James Gunn’s DCU’s Supergirl came out just a few weeks ago, and it seems like fans are thrilled about it. Her House of the Dragon co-stars Matt Smith and Fabien Frankel also acknowledged the fact and praised the young actress. In a new House of the Dragon video, while rewatching Season 1 scenes, they exclaimed when Alcock’s Rhaenyra made an entrance:
Fabien Frankel: Milly! Supergirl now!
Matt Smith: Supergirl, yeah. What a legend!
What is Milly Alcock’s Supergirl about?
Milly Alcock will become the fifth actor to play Supergirl in live-action. Gunn has already revealed what we should anticipate from Supergirl:
“In our series we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl who was raised on a rock, a chip off Krypton, and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl. She’s much more hardcore; she’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”
