Amid the Targaryen dynasty’s turmoil, one character’s journey has captivated audiences: Criston Cole, played by Fabien Frankel. As a skilled knight and member of the Kingsguard, Cole’s role is multifaceted, navigating the intricate web of loyalty, duty, and ambition. With Frankel’s masterful portrayal, Cole’s character has evolved from a seemingly straightforward warrior to a nuanced and complex figure, grappling with the consequences of his choices.

Fabien Frankel shared an incident

The explosive climax of episode 4 is poised to leave audiences speechless, especially Criston Cole. However, Fabien Frankel is unexpectedly nervous about watching it, revealing he’s avoided spoilers due to fears of self-criticism. Amidst the tension, he shares a humorous anecdote about a photo of Cole paired with a scathing Mean Girls quote, bringing some levity to the anticipation. Frankel’s lightheartedness adds a playful layer to the excitement surrounding the episode, making the wait even more unbearable. In an interview with Esquire, Fabien Frankel said,

“I don’t remember who it was, but someone sent me a photo of Cole next to the Mean Girl quote “This girl is the nastiest sk*nk b*tch I’ve ever met. Do not trust her. She is a f*gly sl*t.” I love it so much, dude.”

Why is the actor scared to watch his episode?

Fabien Franklin is hesitant to watch his episode due to fear of self-criticism, worrying he might not meet his expectations or notice flaws in his performance. As an actor, he’s invested heavily in the role, making it daunting to confront potential mistakes or uncertainties. By avoiding the episode, he’s temporarily escaping these fears, but will likely eventually face them and potentially be pleasantly surprised by his performance.

“I’ve been sent the links, but I’m not watching it on purpose. I’m scared to watch it in case I hate it. Not hate the show—just hate my own performance. There was a thing that really made me laugh.”
