House of the Dragon showrunner teases characters like Game of Thrones’ Bronn and the Hound in Season 2
The second season of HBO’s House of the Dragon, a precursor to Game of Thrones, will premiere shortly in June. The fantasy epic has, like its predecessor, gotten a ton of acclaim from fans thus far, who commend the characters, storylines, settings, and other elements that make it so captivating. Season 2 will introduce us to a number of new personas, many of whom will remind you of your favorites from Game of Thrones.
House of the Dragon Season 2 will bring common folks to light
The second season of House of the Dragon will bring a civil war to our doorsteps. And whenever there’s a civil war, common folk do get involved. Showrunner Ryan Condal said in a recent interview with EW:
“The first season was so much about the royal family, that one percent of the upper one percent that rules this world. All the people in the show that had POVs essentially had silver hair. What I think was missing from season 1 — not by omission, it was simply because it was not relevant to the story — is more common folk, the small folk of this world, that bring a certain color and texture.
A lot of the fun and the conflict and the humor that came out of the original Game of Thrones was thrusting high nobility into a room with Bronn [Jerome Flynn] or the Hound [Rory McCann].”
Is Daeron Targaryen in House of the Dragon Season 2?
One of the most eagerly anticipated Fire & Blood characters to make his TV debut is Daeron Targaryen. Ryan Condal declined to say whether Daeron appeared in Season 2 of House of the Dragon when asked whether he did, although he did say:
“That remains to be seen. We will see. Daeron is a fixture and a character in the show. Do not fret, anybody. All in due time.”
