Who is Shireen Baratheon?
Princess Shireen was the lone surviving child of Stannis and Selyse Baratheon born in 289 AC. Her three elder brothers were stillborn at birth. Following the passing of King Robert Baratheon, her father, Stannis, who was the head of House Baratheon on Dragonstone, proclaimed himself King of the Andals and the First Men.
She was cured of greyscale as a baby, but it left a scar on the left side of her face. Her father’s efforts were responsible for the treatment. Her mother is very devoted to Melisandre and the Lord of Light, thus Shireen tries to stay away from her. In addition to being very close to Davos Seaworth, Stannis’s most trusted advisor, who treats her like a daughter, she truly loves her father.

How did Shireen Baratheon die in Game of Thrones?
In order to usurp the Iron Throne and overthrow his nephew, King Joffrey Baratheon, Stannis mustered an army with the help of Ser Davos Seaworth and Melisandre, the Red Priestess. However, things don’t turn out in his favor, and he faces a crushing defeat at the Battle of Blackwater. He barely survives, along with Davos, The Onion Knight, and after a change of plans, marches towards North to get Jon Snow’s support and capture Winterfell from the Boltons.
However, things begin to get from bad to worse as Jon refuses to join him, and on his way to Winterfell, his forces and supplies are cut down by Ramsay’s men under the cover of night. At this moment, Melisandre strongly suggests that they need another royal blood sacrifice, this time a stronger one, to turn the tides in their favor. Against his better judgement, Stannis agrees, and decides to sacrifice his only child, Shireen.
Later, Shireen is brought and chained to a pyre by Baratheon soldiers, and Melisandre then sacrifices her to the Lord of Light without hesitation. As she burns, she begs her parents to save her. Selyse rushes to her daughter’s help, but is held back by Baratheon soldiers. Stannis tears up as he sees Shireen burn to death.
Will Shireen Baratheon return in House of the Dragon?
House of the Dragon is set 200 years before Game of Thrones. Hence it is safe to say that Shireen Baratheon won’t be making an appearance in House of the Dragon.
