Game of Thrones featured some of the most graphic and tragic death scenes in television history. However, the death of Shireen Baratheon, played by Kerry Ingram, stands above the rest. Shireen was an innocent and kind-hearted princess, who deeply affected the life of Ser Davos. Even the majority of the fans admit her death scene is one of the most difficult to watch moments in the entire series.

Shireen loved stories. Her fondness for ancient literature and mythology was evident when she taught Davos how to read, and talked to her father, Stannis Baratheon, who later burns her at the stake for his own ambitions, about the Dance of The Dragons. Since the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon revolves around this event, which led to the wipeout of most of the Targaryen dragons, one fan edited her narration with the new House of The Dragon teaser trailer. And the result is astounding. Watch it right here:

Shireen’s narration of the events of House of The Dragon is a haunting reminder that no one is safe in the Game of Thrones, not even an innocent child. And these events have repeated in a cycle, over and over again, and as long as there is a thirst for power, there will be unnecessary violence.
