Game of Thrones’ Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) to make his sliver screen return in the Famous Five remake
There were many recognizable villains in Game of Thrones. Whether it was the icily frigid Night King, the vicious Ramsey Bolton, or the blatantly wicked Cersei Lannister, each of them made us hate them completely. However, there was another character who made us hate him with all our hearts. Joffrey Baratheon! Remember him? You do, without a doubt. After a very lengthy absence from the big screen, Jack Gleeson, who gave life to one of the most renowned characters on the series, is slated to return.
Jack Gleeson to star in Famous Five remake
Nine years after declaring his acting career over, Gleeson, who portrayed Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones, will make a comeback on television for a part in the BBC’s The Famous Five film. In the much-awaited film adaptation of Enid Blyton’s children’s novels, he will now play the role of Wentworth. Here’s a first look at his character:
What is Famous Five about?
The series which is being adapted by Nicolas Winding Refn follows five explorers as they come upon perilous, action-packed adventures, riddles, and secrets. His other films include Drive, Only God Forgives, the Pusher trilogy, and The Neon Demon.
Which of Blyton’s 21 books will serve as the inspiration for the three 90-minute episodes is unknown. The tales were published between 1942 and 1962 and center on brothers Julian, Dick, and Anne as they try to stop various kidnappers, robbers, and smugglers around the Cornish coast with the help of their cousin George and her dog, Timmy.
What is the Famous Five’s release date?
The film is still in its production phase, hence there has been no announcement regarding the release date. It will be made clear in the future as the movie moves closer to completion.
