Bella Ramsey lands leading role in BBC drama ‘Time’ Season 2
There have been several iconic characters in the history of television shows, but none have managed to steal the screen as swiftly and in a very short time as Game of Thrones’ Oberyn Martell and Lady Lyanna Mormont. The duo who played the roles, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, are now ruling television with their new show The Last of Us, where they play the leads, Joel and Ellie. Ramsey has just managed to grab another lead role in the second season of BBC’s prison drama, Time.
What is Time about?
BBC’s prison drama, Time, which began in June 2021, follows Mark Cobden, a husband, teacher and father who is sentenced to four years in prison after accidentally killing a man. Consumed by guilt, Mark openly accepts his sentence but is quickly confronted with the harsh realities of life inside. The series also follows prison officer Eric McNally, who strives to protect those in his care, but finds that his job can be demanding in a tense and understaffed environment. Season 2 will now move on to women’s prison, featuring a different cast.
What role will Bella Ramsey play on Time?
The Last of Us star Ramsey will play the role of Kelsey, who, similar to Cobden, has been thrown behind the prison walls for the first time. Not much is known about her character so far, only that she will receive some help in the form of Jodie Whittaker’s Orla.
Who is in the cast of Time?
Ramsey has been cast alongside Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance, and Siobhan Finneran. While Whittaker will play a woman named Orla, and Lawrance will be portraying Abi. It is not clear if the other two are inmates as well or Prison officers.
When will Season 2 of Time be released?
BBC’s Time has finished its casting process and is currently under production. There has been no information about the release date of Season 2 yet.
