The Last of Us season finale is weirdly short by HBO standards

HBO’s new hit The Last of Us is slowly creeping up to its season one finale and fans are excited to see what’s next in the post-apocalyptic survival horror. The show is following a trope very closely followed by shows like Game of Thrones and House of The Dragon, making morally grey characters, then building them up to be likable, and finally killing them off in the most shocking way. The finale might also contain some major death scenes following the same pattern, however, it won’t just lack certain characters, it will also be short of a couple of minutes.
The Last of Us Episode 9 “Look For The Light” will be the shortest in the series yet, with a run time covering close to 46 minutes. This is quite short in comparison with other HBO shows, which typically stretch to at least an hour (or close to it) to cover the maximum content possible and present the audience with a satisfying conclusion.
