House of The Dragon writer joins Jurassic World director for a new Atlantis movie
The city of Atlantis has been a legend and a myth for ages, and there have been many who have tried quite unsuccessfully to discover the true location of the fabled underwater kingdom. Fantasy literature, a number of shows, and movies have also found their inspiration from the legend of the lost city of Atlantis, imagining the fantastical city in their own unique ways. A new movie based on the fabled city is right on the horizon and will employ some of the best talents available in the industry.
According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, House of The Dragon‘s writer and co-executive producer Charmaine DeGraté has teamed up with Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow to adapt a story on Atlantis together for the big screen. Skydance has closed a deal with Trevorrow to direct and produce a film titled Atlantis, with DeGraté on board to write the screenplay. DeGraté replaced Dante Harper, who was previously tasked with the job of turning in the script.
Trevorrow will also serve as a producer alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger. There is no release date scheduled for the movie as of yet.
