Game of Thrones and The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey talks about being gender-fluid

The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey is currently making headlines with her new character in the show, Ellie. She won millions of hearts playing the young and brave Lyanna Mormont on the HBO fantasy epic, Game of Thrones, even though her role was short-lived. She accurately portrayed the proud and quirky young warrior as she stabbed a giant wight during her last battle at Winterfell. It seems her days of adventure are not over yet, she is doing an amazing job in yet another action-filled role in HBO’s new video game adaptation The Last of Us, and she’s grateful for it.
Ramsey recently opened up about the issue of gender, mentioning how gender-fluid she is and how little pronouns matter to her. She told The New York Times, “I guess my gender has always been very fluid. Someone would call me ‘she’ or ‘her’ and I wouldn’t think about it. But I knew that if someone called me ‘he,’ it was a bit exciting.”
She continued, “I’m very much just a person. Being gendered isn’t something that I particularly like. But in terms of pronouns, I really couldn’t care less.”
What do you think about gender fluidity? And did you like Bella’s performance in The Last of Us premiere? Talk to us in the comments below!
