HBO hit the jackpot when they decided to adapt the book series, A Song Of Ice And Fire, into the show of the century, Game of Thrones. The network currently has several spinoffs in development, including one about Jon Snow’s adventures. The series is aptly titled ‘SNOW’ for now. It is the only spinoff so far which occurs after the Game of Thrones timeline. The writer of the books, George R.R Martin, wrote on his blog, “Yes, there is a Jon Snow show in development.” But, Kit Harington, adored by fans for his role as Jon Snow, has responded in classic Jon Snow style. When asked about the show, he replies, “The only thing I’ll say is that I know nothing about it.”

The Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke, has said that she knows of the spinoff from Kit. In an interview with BBC News, she elaborated, “It’s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he’s in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington.”

House of the Dragon is already airing and is loved by fans already. Others are already titled and in the early stages of development. Deadline reports three live-action spinoffs: Dunk and Egg, The Sea Snake, and Ten Thousand Ships. The first is set about 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The story is about a knight called Ser Duncan the Tall, “Dunk,” and his squire, “Egg” (the future king Aegon V Targaryen).

The Sea Snake is about the nine voyages at sea made by Corlys Velaryon. Another spinoff named Ten Thousand Ships is centered around the journey made by warrior queen Princess Nymeria and the surviving members of the Rhoynars. George R.R. Martin says SNOW has been in development as long as the other three.

Many animated spinoff prequels are also in the works, with one titled The Golden Empire. It is set in the land of Yi Ti, inspired by China. There is also a theatre production in development that will focus on Robert’s Rebellion. Which spinoff are you most excited about?
