Dragons have generated wonder and enigma in everyone’s heart. The spread of wings, a flight of fancy, and dragon-fire at disposal. It’s an animal of unimaginable proportions, drawing fire and blood with ease and ferocity. But we saw just three in Game of Thrones, an army is waiting. House of the Dragon is coming. Ever since we heard the news a few months back, the excitement has been rising. Now, we have the first news of its release. Casey Bloys, the programming chief of HBO, spoke about the prequel series at the Television Critics Association (TCA) tour.

He said that the year 2022 was his “best guess” for the likely premiere of House of the Dragon. According to him, it was tough to be more specific than the tentative mark he mentioned.

“They are in the room breaking story right now. My guess is we’ll see it on air in ’22,” Bloys clarified. It seems quite far, but then we heard ‘Winter is coming’ in the first season of Game of Thrones; and it took almost seven years to reach us. Though it was a slow burn, we guess a tasty meal takes time to cook.

“Obviously it’s a big, complicated show,” the HBO official added. House of Dragon is a prequel set in the days of Targaryen dominance in Westeros; taking us almost 300 years in the past from where Game of Thrones started. A time infested by family strife, civil war and plenty of dragons, the straight to series order by HBO is supposed to follow the events during The Dance of Dragons. Without a doubt, it has the potential to follow in the footsteps of the mountain called Game of Thrones.

Casey further informed us that there were no updates on the casting front. However the storytellers have been mentioned a few times. George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood will be the source material; and the series is co-created by Ryan Condal and George Martin. Miguel Sapochnick, who gave us thrilling episodes like The Winds of Winter, The Long Night, etc. will partner with Condal as showrunner. Wes Tooker, Claire Kiechel, and Ti Mikkel are also on board the writer’s ship.

There was always the news of multiple shows in the pipeline for the world of ice and fire; one of which went till the pilot stage. At the moment, however, HBO only seems to see fire and blood through.

“For me, for right now, I think getting House of the Dragon on the air will be the number one priority. There are no other blinking green lights or anything like that. Sometime down the road who knows, but there are no immediate plans. We are all focusing on House of Dragon,” Bloys concluded.

Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa opens up about life with family

Real-life is often different from reel life. The celebrities we idolize often face regular problems like normal people. We might want a life like theirs, but ignore the struggles they had to face. For example, Game of Thrones macho man Jason Momoa. Though he appears fearsome as Khal Drogo and majestic as Aquaman on-screen, he’s completely different in real life. The 41-year-old actor recently opened up about his life off-screen in an interview with Men’s Health magazine.

The Game of Thrones star revealed, “I may look big and tough, but I’m not. I’m nothing like Khal Drogo. I’m not even the king of my own house! I’m absolutely terrified of my wife.”

Momoa loves his family. He said, “We’ve all gotten so much closer. My wife is very sophisticated and smart and our kids and I are kind of like animals that need to be trained a little better. I’m constantly a work in progress, and I’ve just been trying to get better as a father and a husband.”

Jason has been through a lot, without letting anyone know about his troubles. He recently revealed in an interview how his family was facing financial troubles after Game of Thrones. It is tough to imagine someone as popular as he went broke. Things got better for him after the Justice League.

Game of Thrones' Sean Bean shines once again as a dad in animation Wolfwalkers

Animated movies are a doorway to relive our childhood. Adults and children enjoy them equally. Some of them have such an engaging story they turn out to be a huge success. Sean Bean starrer Wolfwalkers checks off all the markers of a great animated movie. (Another cool animation Hitpig is on the way!). The movie was released on 13th November in The US and has been received really well by critics worldwide.

Game of Thrones' Sean Bean shines once again as a dad in animation Wolfwalkers

Directed by Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart, Wolfwalkers is rooted in Irish folklore and art. It follows the tale of a young girl, Robyn (Honor Kneafsey), and her father, Bill (Sean Bean). They have been called from their homeland (England) to take out a pack of wolves in the town of Kilkenny, Ireland, in the 17th century. Robyn longs for the freedom she once had in England and wants to follow in her father’s footsteps as a hunter.

On the other side of the forest are wolfwalkers. They are a small breed of unique humans with the ability to turn into wolves when they sleep. They have control over wild wolves living in the surrounding forests. The wolfwalkers are forced to lash out as the townsfolk destroy their home, hunting them. Robyn must act as a mediator for her Irish town and the wolfwalkers of the forest.

The film features Celtic art and beautifully designed hand-drawn animation. From being the Dad Wolf in Game of Thrones to hunting wolves in Wolfwalkers, Sean Bean has come a long way. Give it a watch and tell us how you felt about it in the comments below!
