There are various rumors around on the internet about Tyrion Lannister’s fate in the final season of Game of Thrones, especially with VFX supervisor Steve Kullback teasing it. I believe that Kullback did it on purpose and was fooling around with the fans. As of now, various cast members of the series are getting online attention with their interviews including Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister. He recently appeared in an interview with the Entertainment Tonight and teased a beautiful end for his character. Read on.
At the premiere of his new HBO movie ‘My Dinner with Herve’, Dinklage told the ET how well the showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss had ended the series. He said:
“There are no better writers in television than Dan Weiss and David Benioff. They ended it brilliantly. Better than I could have imagined and you people are in for it.”
He additionally revealed a tidbit of how his character ended in the series, not even uttering a subtle spoiler or hint. He said:
“It ends beautifully for my character, whether it be tragic or not.”
As said by the Late Lady Olenna, Daenerys Targaryen’s Hand is truly a “clever” person and he won’t give much info on where his character is headed next. All we can do now is biding our time and waiting for the new series to air in the first half of 2019.
Yet, there were two moments in the Seventh Season which are major hints towards Tyrion’s character arc in the next season: 1. His concerned look over Jon and Dany’s boat scene and, 2. the deal he made with his sister Cersei Lannister.
So, what do you think? What will be the fate of Daenerys Targaryen’s Hand in the final season of Game of Thrones? Tell us in the comments down below.
