The second season of HBO’s smash hit The Last of Us is currently in pre-production. Nobody can disagree that the series has exceeded many expectations, and HBO’s one of the most expensive shows ever produced has definitely gotten its money’s worth. Fans anticipating Season 2 may have to wait a little longer, though, as the writers’ strike has put the production on hold.

All HBO shows to be released in 2024 now pushed to 2025

Dina, the love interest in The Last of Us Part II — is a rare bird in gaming: A relatable Jewish character.

In a recent interview with Deadline, HBO’s head of drama Francesca Orsi, revealed, “While everything at this moment is pencils down, I’m hopeful that we can come to terms sooner than later. Otherwise we will have to assess what is the end of the 24 schedule, what are the shows that are going to be delivered for 2025. At this point, those shows that I’m looking to air wouldn’t necessarily be ready if this strike last six to nine months. So yes, that’s a big question for us, but I think we’ll cross that road once we come to it.”

And The White Lotus was ideally looking to go in 2024 but there’s some question about timing of the strike.” Euphoria is another one of the shows affected by the strikes.
