Would love to play James Bond in case of a gender switch, says Emilia Clarke
Game of Thrones stars have a lot of opportunities going forward, because of how successful the show was. While Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys, recently said she doesn’t want to do big franchise projects anymore, there seems to be one franchise that could entice her. Read on!
In a recent interview with Empire, Emilia was asked if she would like to step into the role of James Bond, and she had a very positive response:
“Yeah! Of course! Hell to the yeah.”
She continued:
“James Bond is one of those franchises where it’s never not cool. You could literally make the naffest James Bond in the world and it would still be cool.”
Emilia also reflected on the luxuries that her part on Game of Thrones has fetched her, and how it has motivated her to launch her own production house:
“I’ve had the good fortune of being in this incredible show with this incredible character. And, my goodness, if I were to get stereotyped as the mother of dragons, I could ask for worse. It’s really quite wonderful.”
She went on:
“But what it’s left me with — after 10 years of seeing that, and being a part of that, and of doing quite big movies in my hiatuses and all of those things — is a yearning for a different sort of creative ownership.”
