Game Of Thrones Season 8 returns on 14th April and HBO is ensuring that the final season is welcomed in style. To celebrate the upcoming final season of Game Of Thrones, HBO has teamed with Twitter and released 20 new Game Of Thrones hashtag emojis for various characters from the show.

In addition to the hastag emojis, Twitter has also released 20 new posters featuring Game Of Thrones characters like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Night King and the other surviving characters that are going to play an important role in the final season.

The Night King has destroyed the Wall and now the army of the dead is marching South and there’s going to be a lot of death and destruction in the upcoming  season and at the moment we can just guess who will win the war and who will finally sit on the Iron Throne and it’s plausible that there won’t be any Iron Throne left in the end. hotstar-to-simulcast-game-of-thrones-season-8-in-india-1-9864310

Game of Thrones is a popular show worldwide, but as it so happens, not everyone gets to watch it at the same time. Game of Thrones airs on HBO in the US, according to the US timings. The rest of the world, however doesn’t always get to watch it at the same time. Usually, episodes air in a few hours, or the next day, thanks to the time zones and the syndication deals, and such. One of such place is India, but not anymore. Hotstar will simulcast Game of Thrones Season 8 for Indian viewers this year. Read on!

The Star Network has handled the Indian distribution of Game of Thrones for years. However, the last time the Indian fans could watch Game of Thrones at the same time as the US audience was with Season 5. It was aired on the Star World channel back then, although a censored version of it. Hotstar, Star’s streaming service, recently announced the simulcast for Season 8, to be available for premium subscribers. The Hotstar Premium membership costs Rs 199/month ($2.91) or Rs 999/year ($14.60), which is way way cheaper than $14.99/month that’s being charged by HBO Now in USA.

Till death do them part, fire and ice can romance each other for one last time. #April15 pic.twitter.com/tqfLklT60f

— Hotstar Premium (@HotstarPremium) March 31, 2019

The Indian streaming service, which is now owned by Disney through its recent acquisition of Fox, will be streaming Game of Thrones at the same time as the US release. Game of Thrones will premiere Season 8 on Sunday, 14 April, at 9 pm ET on HBO in the US, and on Hotstar at the same time, which translates to a Monday, 15th April, 6:30 am IST stream for the Indian fans.

With earlier seasons, Hotstar used to have at least an hour of delay as compared to the US premiere. However, it looks like the Indian fans can finally catch up with the show in real time. Star World will also air a censored version on the next day, as usual.

This is a great move, considering streaming services have only recently been taking off in India. The no-delay airing will be quite the incentive for fans to avoid piracy, as well. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

More than three weeks ago, the first trailer for the new season of Game of Thrones was released and we haven’t got any official word on when we can expect a new trailer. While only days remain until the eighth season, a new promo has been aired with some never ever seen footage, teasing the first three episodes.

The 30-second-long promo starts off with Tyrion Lannister addressing a bunch of people at Winterfell, saying, “We must fight together now…or die…”. looking closely, you can even spot Daenerys and Sansa sitting on the head table. This is then followed by the kid we saw in the official trailer watching Jon and Daenerys arrive at Winterfell with the Unsullied and Dothraki armies, crossing Winter Town. Then we see three Greyjoy ships sailing – nothing new about it yet it being shown in another promo has to mean something important. My bets are on these being Theon/Yara Greyjoy’s fleet.

Moving forward, we see what seems to be Jon and Daenerys meeting in a dark room with Dany facing the fire with her back turned to Jon followed by him leaving the room immediately. No thoughts on what may be going on here or the tensions between the two yet the way Dany has braided her hair in this shot gives me a feeling that she’s about to leave for another important battle.

We then see a shot of Drogon and Rhaegal flying over Winterfell hovering over Sansa Stark – the old shot we saw in the trailer. This is followed by a bunch of new footages Beric Dondarrion racing towards the Hound with a flaming sword during the Battle of Winterfell. We also see the Unsullied preparing for battle with a voice over of Jon Snow ‘Our enemy doesn’t tire…doesn’t stop…”.

Then we see Cersei Lannister turning around in a dramatic fashion which is followed by Ser Davos Seaworth, Tyrion, and Varys looking up in the sky awestruck. If this is a dragon – there’s nothing new about that at least to Tyrion and Varys, their jaw-dropping reaction gives me vibes that probably they spot Jon flying on Rhaegal over Winterfell (a wishful thought!)

The promo ends with Arya’s hardcore fighting at Winterfell, a wight/Walker arriving near Winterfell on the undead horse we saw in the previous trailer, and the closing image of Drogon spitting fire on someone/something along with Jon’s dialogue ‘They’re coming…”.

No official word on this short promo of the new season of Game of Thrones yet a fan managed to get a full shot of the promo that you can watch here:

With less than two weeks remaining in the new season of Game of Thrones, the cravings are now more than ever yet another trailer from HBO would really be the icing on the cake. What were your thoughts on this short promo from the new season? Did we miss out anything? Tell us in the comments below.

Game of Thrones has a great roster of characters and a great representation of female characters. The show has been driven by a lot of strong female characters, and one of the most notable new additions is Lyanna Mormont. This new little badass adds to the ferocity of the female cast of the show and is probably the most snarky one of them. However, apparently, she doesn’t like one of the biggest female characters on the show, Daenerys Targaryen, very much. Read on!

This is a bit from a new exclusive report from Spanish website XLSeminal. The report is about a set visit for Game of Thrones Season 8. There are a lot of interesting bits about the endgame in there. Most of these have been corroborated by other reports and cast interviews. However, the fresh bit is that Lyanna Mormont will apparently have issues with having Daenerys Targaryen over in Winterfell.

lyanna-mormont-apparently-doesnt-like-daenerys-targaryen-very-much-2-1647602

The report says that Bella Ramsey, who plays Lyanna, said her character “is not very happy with the arrival of a foreign queen. But I can not tell you anything else.”

Well, that certainly cannot be any good. In the grand scheme of things, this detail probably will not mean much. Possibly why it was revealed in the first place. Still a pretty interesting bit.

There was also more information on the scene where Daenerys arrives at Winterfell with Jon Snow, as revealed by Kit Harington himself:

“It’s one of the first scenes of the season, when Daenerys meets Jon’s family, who is now her boyfriend. It’s a difficult situation for him… And I can not tell you more.”

Well, things seem to have advanced quite a bit from the boat scene we saw at the end of Season 7. However, this is a direct translation from the original Spanish, so take it with a grain of salt.
