Interview
“This Is Us will have a better ending than Game of Thrones”, according to Sterling K. Brown
Game of Thrones was a highly controversial show, and its final season even more so. It has been two years since the series wrapped up filming, and people still talk about it to this day. Every show that has managed to capture public attention has been compared with HBO’s fantasy epic, and that’s for a fairly valid reason. In a recent American survey, Game of Thrones ranked 3rd in the list of the best TV shows of all time. Seeing the results, many fans claimed had it not been for the final season controversy, it would have stood on top. And it seems like NBC’s This Is Us has learned an important lesson from that.
In a recent interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the show’s star Sterling K. Brown talked about filming the final season of This Is Us. He said, “I’m going to miss it. We are going to miss telling the story of the Pearson family. The good thing that I feel about the show is that Fogelman always wanted to do six seasons. So he had a beginning, middle and end that he wanted to see this thing through.”
He added:
“So we are not going to go in perpetuity and hopefully we will finish stronger, I hesitate to say this because I love the show, but we will finish stronger than Game of Thrones.”
The actor finished the interview by pondering on the possibility of This Is Us spinoff shows, much like Game of Thrones. Do you think This Is Us will have a better finale than Thrones? Tell us in the comments below!
