Next week on Sunday, HBO’s latest hit The Last of Us is going to air its final episode of Season 1. Fans are really excited to see how Season 1 ends, and those who have played the game know that it isn’t something a lot of people would like. This might sound very familiar to the finale of a very popular show. Game of Thrones created a massive divide among its fans and the cast with its controversial season. Will The Last of Us repeat the feat? Let’s find out!

What does the cast of The Last of Us think about the finale?

In a recent interview with Vogue UK, Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the show, talked about how exhausted she was after filming the 8th episode, “It was… exhausting. But those were some of my favourite days on set. That sounds really masochistic, but it’s the scenes that break me that I love the most, in a way.”

She then teased the fans in the most playful way, “It’s going to divide people massively – massively.”

If the show actually follows the game’s storyline, she is absolutely right about that.

Ellie and Joel finally make it to the Fireflies after going through a lot of enemies. However, their meeting is not what they had hoped for. Joel comes to know that he has to make a difficult choice. To prepare the antidote, the scientists at the Fireflies HQ need to extract the fungus from Ellie’s brain, killing her in the process. Joel ends up choosing Ellie, killing everyone on site while carrying an unconscious Ellie to safety.
