Relationships are a burning catastrophe in the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon. As these long-suppressed emotions started to surface, Season 1 Episode 7 provided even greater challenges. Even though Rhaenyra was detested by Corlys and Rhaenys Velaryon, who felt she was to blame for Laenor’s demise, they nevertheless harbored affection for her kids. And watching them engage in wars is going to be heartbreaking to them.

Steve Toussaint teases an “emotional” journey for Corlys

Toussaint is an immensely talented actor, and his passion for his role can be seen in the way he describes his character’s mindset in House of the Dragon Season 2. He said in the recent CCXP 2023 panel (via ScreenRant):

I’m just gonna lay waste to the enemies. But as a matter of fact, without giving anything away, a lot of his past deeds comes back to haunt him. And he has to be very humble. So it’s a very strong and very emotional journey that the Sea Snake goes on while preparing for this battle.”

In the season two finale of House of the Dragon, Corlys Velaryon may go to war

More information regarding the next phase of the Targaryen tale is now emerging as the second season of House of the Dragon’s release date draws to a close. A recent rumor revealed another tidbit regarding the Season 2 finale episode: Corlys Velaryon will be wearing his complete armor when he goes into fight in the sea.
