The relationships on Game of Thrones were a total mess. The truth, however, is not that different. Real-world relationships are at least as complex as those portrayed in George R. R. Martin‘s novels. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa on Game of Thrones, had a rough relationship with her ex, Joe Jonas. Even after months of negotiations, things don’t seem to be settling down for them.

Sophie Turner asks judge to reactivate divorce

After settlement talks failed, Sophie Turner allegedly asked the court to step in and hasten her divorce from Joe Jonas. Due to an existing prenuptial agreement, the couple, who announced their divorce in September 2023, had previously resolved property issues. According to Sophie’s documents, which TMZ was able to get, the divorce procedures should be “reactivated.” They were placed on pause as the former couple attempted, unsuccessfully, to settle their property and child custody disputes through mediation.

Child custody remains the main issue

The custody of their children continues to be the primary source of disagreement. Joe disagrees with Sophie’s plan to go to England with the kids, which caused Sophie to accuse Joe of illegally keeping the kids in the United States. Later, in an effort to settle the custody battle in private, she retracted her court claim based on child abduction statutes. Willa was born in July 2020, and Delphine was born in July 2022. The couple has two daughters.
