Interview
“It would be nice to be involved” says Sean Bean about playing Ned Stark in Game of Thrones spinoffs
Ned Stark is a fan favourite in the Game of Thrones universe! While the character may have been killed off over a decade ago in the first season itself, his presence has remained strong throughout the entirety of the show. Recently, the actor was in an interview to discuss his upcoming film, “Knights of the Zodiac” but there he also opened up about his potential return to the Game of Thrones universe and a lot of other things. So let’s take a look at it!
Sean Bean speaks about his return as Ned Stark
In a recent interview with Screenrant, he spoke about his return to the series,
“It’s always nice to think that you could be involved in some way in such a great series, something that became worldwide. I don’t think at the time, we knew with Lord of the Rings how big that was going to turn out, and it was the same with Game of Thrones. If I’m ever asked again, it would be nice to be involved in some way.”
Has Sean Bean watched House of the Dragons?
In the same interview, Sean also spoke about HBO’s recent prequel series House of the Dragons, “I don’t know if he’d ever be incorporated again. I’m not that clued up about the following [for House of the Dragon], I’ve heard it’s really good, I’m going to try to see that [at some point].”
While we’re not sure if Sean Bean could ever return as Ned Stark in the Game of Thrones Universe, if the upcoming spinoffs continue to do good for HBO, there’s always a possibility that we might get to see something in the future.
